The
video port
is specifically designed to connect your
monitor
to your PC. This port and your monitor work very closely together to
provide you with a crisp, clear picture. The video port is generally located on
in the back of your PC on your
video card.
Some PCs have an
integrated motherboard
with the video built in. A
ribbon cable
connects the port from the motherboard to the back of your PC.
Video ports come in several different flavors the most common being
VGA,
and
SVGA.
Older flavors include
MDA,
CGA,
Hercules,
and
EGA.
